SILEX 21-41 – Top-Grade Demineralized Water

A SILEX plant produces demineralized water (DI water) of the highest quality without chemical usage at the installation site.

A complete SILEX plant comprises a stainless steel tank and a conductivity meter that continuously indicates the conductivity of the deionized water.

The SILEX tank contains cation and anion exchange resins with a certain demineralization capacity.

    Good Working Environment

    The plant design and the off site regeneration both contribute to an optimum working environment. The operators do not get in contact with ion exchangers and the design and low weight of the tank ensure easy handling.

  • Application

    The system is specially developed for users needing de- ionized water of highest quality and who neither want to store nor handle regeneration chemicals (acid and lye) at the installation site.

     

    The system is applicable for the following main purposes:

    • Polishing/final treatment of demineralized water.

    Water Quality

    Dependent on application the major part of the plant capacity has conductivities below 0,1 µS/cm.

     

    Quality Control

    As a guarantee that the regeneration has been optimum each batch will be subject to a careful quality control prior to dispatch and the regeneration date will appear from the label on the tank.

     

    Plant Construction

    A complete plant is composed of a tank unit, an operating unit and a conductivity meter that continuously displays the conductivity. 

     

    The tank unit comprises a stainless steel tank (AISI 316Ti) with couplings. The operating unit consists of a PVC valve system protected by a stainless and easy-to clean cabinet.

     

    Ion exchange resins

    When the mixed bed ion exchangers have been consumed they must be replaced by new exchangers. You can either order new ion exchangers from us in bags of 25 litres each or buy the mixed bed ion exchangers locally in your country>>

    *  The basic capacities are stated at a temperature of 10°C with conductivities under 5 µS/cm, approx. 60 % of the capacity is under 0.1 µS/cm. The capacity is increased by approx. 10 % with conductivities up to 20 µS/cm.
